Located right on the main merchant street and next to the old bank, Nendokoro is a lovely guest house established in a traditional Japanese home. The main living room is a comfortable open space area with tatami mats and a view on the indoor garden. A short wooden outdoor corridor next to this garden will take you to one of the main private rooms as well as the toilet and the shower. The private rooms all have tatami mats and comfortable futons and most have a very nice and soothing view on the sea. The guest house also comes with its own bar.
Thanks to its prime location in the heart of Ushimado, you can very easily explore the area at your own pace and try out the local restaurants for lunch and dinner. You can also rent some bikes at the Ushimado tourist center located only a short walk away. If you wish to go and explore the island right in front of the guest house, the ferry port is next to the tourist center. Nendokoro is the perfect place to take it slow and to truly enjoy everything that this charming seaside town has to offer.
