Built in an old merchant house and situated right on the main merchant street, this cafe is the perfect place to take a break during your wanders around Ushimado. With its artful décor, wooden structure and soft lighting, the atmosphere invites you to sit back, relax and enjoy the moment.
The cafe almost exclusively uses local veggies, freshly caught seafood from the surrounding bay and the famous setouchi lemons for its delicious homemade honey lemonade, making it an all round tasty local experience. The menu itself often changes, but you can be sure that you will be treated to something delectable and fresh! Although there is no English menu, it does come accompanied by pictures, so don’t you worry! The cafe owner, a local youth working hard for the revitalisation of the area, is always happy to help and up for a chat!
Make sure to take the time to check out all the bits and bobs that are placed around the cafe, as well as to check out the small art shop upstairs! The floor used to be a dentist’s office, but it was turned into a place where one of the local artists sell and expose some of his craft!
