Tereya cafe is THE cafe that everyone would love to have in their neighbourhood. Built in a traditional Japanese house, the owners have brilliantly managed to give it just the right artsy atmosphere to it. This is the type of place in which every corner has something surprising to see, whether it is the small and cosy built in library room or the divider made of colourful thread reels. If the weather is nice, you can always enjoy your food on the spacious terrace while admiring their beautiful garden and the lush bamboo forest right behind it.
The cafe offers different types of sandwiches, curries and pastas in which they use local veggies. The Thai style curries are especially delicious and are the most authentic flavoured one we have had so far! They also offer a wide panel of fresh (yes, fresh!) juices and generous desserts. If you happen to still have a bit of room after that, try out one of their coffees served in original ceramic cups made especially for this cafe. Also, they often hold art and live music events, so check out their Facebook page here if you are interested!
Useful tip! If you are coming by car, keep an eye out for the parking situated right next to the main road. There should be a sign next to it, but it isn’t so obvious. Also, the cafe is situated behind a couple of houses so you cannot see it from the main road. However, they have hoisted a flag from their cafe to help you find them!
